Luke Hebert

This may be irrelevant, but I'm able to "ssh" into stampede2 without a subsystem or putty. Might be worth a try if you really struggle with one of those
Eric McKnight

Luke Hebert
01:16:53
I just use regular ol' command line

Sorry I still have trouble with the symbolic link ‘CoreNGS/Core_NGS_Tools’ command. It’s saying that Permission denied
Rachael Cox
01:43:14
Han will you copy and paste the full command you're entering?
Brian Stokes
01:45:24
for those asking about copy/paste, I am on windows using putty. To copy and paste I have needed to simply press the right button on my mouse and what I have copied already seems to automatically be entered into the command line
John Ludes-Meyers
01:45:24

Do you need to access each file in scratch to prevent it from being deleted or does just accessing the directory prevent deletion of all files?
Rachael Cox
03:13:12
Just accessing the directory works!
Emmanuel Bredu Asiedu
03:19:12
Are some of these resources available for non-UT users?
Rachael Cox
03:20:42
Hmm this might be a question Anna needs to answer, but I believe anyone with a TACC account should be able to access these resources
Rachael Cox
03:22:59
FYI--if you haven't touched your command prompt in awhile, stampede2 may have logged y'all out due to inactivity! be sure to log back in :)

According to Microsoft "OpenSSH has been added to Windows (as of autumn 2018), and is included in Windows 10 and Windows Server 2019."
