Voces of a Pandemic Virtual Showcase
The pandemic has struck Latinos/as in US with a mighty force, devastating families and communities. The Voces of a Pandemic Oral History Project has been documenting the stories of essential workers in food service and construction industries, to frontline healthcare providers, to people who have lost ones to Covid 19, and those who have survived it. Voces of a Pandemic, a partnership of 13 institutions across the country, led by the Voces Oral History Center at the University of Texas, is amplifying the interviews captured.

Join us to learn about themes that have emerged, hear excerpts from select interviews in the collection, and to understand the interpretative process of artist Nikki Diaz, who translated Voces of a Pandemic into artwork that captures, the pain, the loss, and resilience of our community.
